2019 Novel-Writing Challenge, Week 11

This post is a bit late due to recent travels and other events! I spent most of last week in Philadelphia and the long weekend in Brooklyn, New York. Fun and rejuvenating, but I did fall a little behind. I managed to make it to 47,562 words. I’m getting there!

I’m excited for the moment when I can look back at the finished product and say I have a novel with a beginning, middle, and end. Much like, I imagine, running a marathon, this project has been a great exercise in discipline and perseverance. It’s not going to be perfect — actually, it’s mostly quite ugly — but I look forward to molding and editing it. It’s always easier for me to work with something tangible rather than with a blank page.

Stay tuned!
